The Role:


The Desktop Technician fills the important role of repairing and\or replacing computers for our corporate clients. It is a client facing position that provides efficient repairs to existing equipment and seamless replacements for older machines. Training people on newer operating systems and upgraded applications is also a key component. Technicians who are successful in this position will have the opportunity to grow into other positions. 


The Duties:


* Working individually to provide on-site desktop services to our clients (over 100 organizations -- businesses, nonprofits, schools, and municipalities.
* "Wiping and reloading" existing systems including reloading applications and client data
* Installing new desktops, laptops, docking stations, monitors, and other peripheral equipment
* Repairing or adding computer peripherals (we do not repair printer hardware)
* Assisting on occasional projects, such as E-mail migrations
* Setting up new users in Active Directory
* Documenting licensing and other items

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED


* Strong interpersonal skills: enjoy relating with staff & clients.
* Solid problem-solving skills: be able to take a challenge and break it down.
* Experience in the IT field - must have at least 1 year of full time IT experience. Corporate experience is a plus.
* Troubleshooting experience with computers, software, and peripherals.
* Some formal education preferred but not required - Associates degree and/or certifications.
* Skill at setting up Windows computers for users.
* Willing to travel to client sites. The majority of clients are within an hour of each office.


LOCATION SPECIFICS


We have offices in Belmont and Manchester, NH. This position may work out of either office but will be at client sites the majority of the week. Travel to clients is reimbursed at IRS rates. 


SALARY & BENEFITS


This is a full time, salaried position with a full benefits package, including 75% of medical costs covered for the entire family. Benefits also include: a wellness program, training program (including paid certifications), laptop, smartphone, charitable program, retirement plan, and 3 weeks of starting PTO (4 after 2 years).
