POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Elementary Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Calvary Christian Academy
REPORTS TO: Elementary Principal
STATUS: Non-Exempt; 12-Month or 10-Month Full-Time Hourly,
Benefits Eligible
Purpose Statement:
The Elementary Receptionist is responsible for receiving parents, students and faculty as they enter the school building and work to meet their needs in a way that displays the love of Christ and our desire to serve them in any way we can.
Scope:
This position is key to the effective, efficient operation of the school office. This person interacts with the parents, students and staff of the Academy. This person is a key information resource person.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Set-up for arrival of visitors to our school.
  • Greet and assist visitors to the school and sign in them in when visiting.
  • Log in families that arrive after the start of school.
  • Assist families who are picking up their child early by locating the class and calling student down.
  • Arrange for the delivery of items to students and teachers.
  • Ensure the “no contact” lists for all students is followed and adhered to.
  • Assist with fire drills, lock-down and tornado drills.
  • Request nurses’ copier needs
  • Request facilities and custodial assistance needs for teachers.
  • Sign for delivered orders.
  • Assist Accreditation Coordinator on special projects as needed.
  • Assist administration with duties as assigned
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

  • Strong commitment to the Philosophy and Statement of Faith of Calvary Chapel and to the Mission Statement of Calvary Christian Academy.
  • Completion of level two servant requirements, working towards level four.
  • Excellent organization skills.
