Responsible for maintenance, repair of all building mechanical equipment and controls system in facilities at Camp Guernsey and the associated training facilities. Technical requirements include troubleshooting system failures, adjustment, repair, replacement/installation, and preventative maintenance of installed building equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level.
Installs, adjusts, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical, direct digital controls, and electronic/pneumatic/mechanical temperature control devices on HVAC/R systems.
Conducts routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment.
Conduct efficiency analysis on HVAC/R systems and provide recommendations, specifications, or initial design requirements for all HVAC/R system replacements, upgrades, and proposed energy saving modifications.
Organize, implement and manage a preventative maintenance program. Conduct monthly/quarterly system inspections and filter changes.
Manages the procurement and use of ozone depleting substances ensuring compliance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Performs seasonal startup and shutdown of heating and air-conditioning systems as well as other related equipment.
Works around Hazardous and/or toxic materials.
Assist other Trades with the maintenance an upkeep of all building and infrastructure.
May be required to check and verify work performed by other entities
