Gates Corporation, formerly Atlas Hydraulics, is growing in Brandon, SD and we are hiring for 1st and 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians. Competitive pay and benefits.
Our maintenance techs operate various electrical and electronic equipment as well as handle all maintenance and required work for the facility. In this role, techs would use a variety of equipment, tools and machinery, handle repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Additional work would include lay out, assembly, installation and modification of electrical and other equipment. The use of schematics, layouts, blueprints or verbal instructions would also be required. Education and work experience involving electronic repair and maintenance is preferred.
For this role, we require experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems and tools, welding and machine repair, as well setting up and operating a variety of machine tools. The role involves a high degree of responsibility, safety and efficiency.
Requirements & Physical Demands:
Physical requirements require regular lifting, pushing, standing and pulling of product. Basic skill training for this position will be provided and measured.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed
- Ability to work in warmer temperatures in the summer
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Some work maybe repetitive in nature
- Stooping/bending and twisting throughout shift
- Climbing maybe necessary
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Skills & Education:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work well with your hands
- PLC programming, maintenance and troubleshooting
- High School Degree with 5 years general, 2 years specific experience; or 2 years college (Associates Degree) with 1 year specific experience
