The Boart Longyear accounting department is seeking a new Intercompany Accounting Supervisor in our corporate office in West Valley City, UT.  This position will report to the North American Controller.  The Intercompany Accounting Supervisor is responsible for all intercompany accounting and statutory financial reporting.
 
As the Intercompany Accountant, you will provide input in helping the Controller and the finance team shape the direction of the accounting department. In this role the Intercompany Accountant will work closely with other departments within the company including human resources, marketing, sales, operations, and FP&A to ensure timely and accurate financials. This person also deals with the external and bank auditors. A successful candidate should be able to work independently and effectively.

It also has a substantial presence in aftermarket parts and service, energy, mine dewatering, oil sands exploration, production drilling, and down-hole instrumentation.
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the accounting field, with public accounting (auditing) experience strongly preferred- what about 3-5 years?
  • Licensed CPA preferred to be considered for this position
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (strong emphasis on Excel)
  • Oracle and Hyperion experience a plus
 
 Responsibilities:
  • Manage the global intercompany process for all Company entities ensuring that amounts balance between entities each month. This includes goods and services as well as loans.
  • Investigate and resolve any intercompany differences timely.
  • Oversee accounting and financial reporting for Holding Companies
  • Assist in audit preparation and support for half-year and year-end financial audits.
  • Lead annual statutory audit of Holding Companies.
  • Assist in internal control documentation and compliance
  • Manage a portion of the month-end, half year and annual closes
  • Review monthly financial statements
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed
  • Review and approve monthly reconciliations
  • Special projects and other duties as needed
