The Hotel Management team onboard each American Cruise Lines’ ship provides guests with a seamless and exceptional cruise experience. As an Assistant Hotel Manager, you will be involved in overseeing various departments, including housekeeping, food and beverage, and shore excursions and entertainment. This is an exciting hospitality management position that allows you to see the USA as you live and work on a cruise ship. 

 

Assistant Hotel Managers are responsible for creating personalized and memorable travel experiences for our guests and for handling specific guest requests with precision and care. You must monitor processes to be sure crew members are working as a team and adhering to the high quality standards and policies of the company in a consistent manner. To make sure that you are well-supported onboard, we have a network of onshore operations and logistics personnel throughout the country who are available to assist you.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the guest experience, including the ability to ensure a comfortable and personalized experience for each passenger
  • Communicate effectively both with the guests and your crew members to achieve complete satisfaction onboard
  • Manage the operations of food and beverage in our five star restaurant, which includes serving three meals each day
  • Manage the Housekeeping Department with daily turndown and room service
  • Ensure that all of the requests from guests are handled with precision and care
  • Build recurrent training programs for crew and be an exceptional mentor to those onboard
  • Onboard selling to help guests select their next cruise
  • Maintain the American Cruise Lines product with consistency and diligence

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hotel or food and beverage management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management
  • Willing to live and work aboard the ship
  • Optimism and a hardworking drive to succeed
  • Cruise industry experience not required
