A Global leader in the Food/Beverage Industry is looking for a Director of Operations.

The Director of Operations role is responsible for providing leadership in the development and execution of the packaging strategy and KPRI delivery for the 24X7 manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and actively engage in the manufacturing site leadership team, helping to provide strategic direction for the site, grow the capabilities of the workforce, and deliver key metrics for the business.
  • Ensures proper people, processes, and procedures are in place and working to ensure good customer service .
  • Maintains approved processes and procedures, and oversees the timely and cost effective implementation of all new product introductions, package changes, special projects, line extensions, etc.
  • Carries out all management responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work etc.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), perform tasks per the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)
  • Lead and develop a team of packaging area managers, team leaders, and hourly associates
  • Lead the safe execution of the production plan to required standard of quality delivery
  • Lead efforts of site to deliver key projects: line optimization, waste reductions, etc.
  • Lead and actively engage in the manufacturing site leadership team, helping to provide strategic direction for the site, grow the capabilities of the workforce, and deliver key metrics for the business

  • Requirements:
  • Must have experience of managing a large multi-line Plant and leading and coaching Managers
  • College degree, graduate a plus, with 10+ years' experience with world class production facilities, preferably Consumer Goods
  • Must have end to end P&L experience
  • Engineering Degree is preferred
  • Strong Leadership and experience managing direct reports
  • Must be experienced with continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizaen
