What you’ll do 

About The Opportunity 

Lead and direct a multi-functional team of technicians engaged in the fabrication, processing and delivery of component parts and assemblies. Oversee the day-to-day responsibility for production; including but not limited to ensuring part quality, delivery requirements and cost targets are achieved, promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and build cohesive teams to enhance employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels to meet current and future manufacturing delivery requirements by selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; identifying bottlenecks and resolving; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between people and departments.
  • Executes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; delivers results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems, reporting progress results of the processing flow on weekly production reports.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by working closely with maintenance; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests..
  • Develop innovative problem resolution processes and encourage new ideas and methods
  • Assess and provide feedback regarding performance to employees.

    About you

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in leadership positions in a manufacturing environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, problem analysis and solving, potential problem analysis, decision analysis and planning.
  • Must be skilled in coaching, team-building, business measurement, continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Multi-task oriented, strong interpersonal skills, computer literate required.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, ERP Systems (SAP preferred)

    Physical Requirements

  • Specific Vision abilities required; including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus with a specific requirement for corrected vision at 20/25 or better.
  • Must be able to work in a production environment and travel throughout the facility and corporation to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
  • Employee must lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., using proper lifting technique. As required from time to time by the business (< 10%)
