Kearney is currently seeking an Air Force (AF) Financial Systems Trainer and Functional Expert to join our team located in various locations. This position will be performing at the analyst level and will act in support of the customer's automated financial management system, DEAMS. The successful candidate is required to have at least three and a half years of AF Financial Management (FM) experience; specifically, familiarization with AF base level resource management processes and systems. The candidate must also be willing to travel at up to four to eight week intervals, three times per year in support of deployment training of DEAMS, and numerous times throughout the year for a week duration, to a variety of locales to include overseas locations. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to provide daily FM functional expertise to DEAMS users, and conduct classroom instruction, coordinate training requirements with end-users, instructors, and additional organizations as well as create and update training materials, to include lesson plans and handouts. It is desired that the successful candidate have some experience conducting training (instructor-led, hands-on, and web-based). This position will provide home-station, mobile, and/or webinar training and developing training materials. Additional skills and responsibilities are defined below:

  • Ability to utilize automated methods to create and update training materials, to include lesson plans, handouts, and others
  • Ability to accomplish tasks such as Help Desk ticket inquiries, scheduling and maintenance of courses, and metrics review
  • May be required to upload, test, document, and maintain Web Based Technology (WBT) based courses in support of long distance learning via Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Compile edits and review documents in coordination with subject matter experts to ensure validity and accuracy of training documentation; written and computer based training modules
  • Support the on-line learning environment by establishing classroom-based courses utilizing the LMS, allowing for individual course registration
  • Utilize LMS to schedule, track, consolidate, and provide reporting data on deployment training to Higher Headquarters
  • Develop survey questions and completion certificates for students who have completed the course
  • Pull by course reports, statistics, and class rosters via the LMS, provide all metric data to upper management
  • Compile system access request report information to determine and validate deployment training requirements for base users
  • Perform as a trainer, facilitator, or subject matter expert in support of deployment training on an as required basis

  • Bachelor's Degree and three and a half years' experience and familiarity with AF Financial Management
  • Experience with AF base level resource management processes and systems (e.g., one or more of the following - ABSS, BQ, CRIS, WAWF, etc.) - and extensive experience delivering briefings, professional development sessions, or other similar presentations or instruction
  • Ability to travel extensively in support of deployment training of the new system to various locations and to provide on-site reach back training
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. secret level security clearance (requires US Citizenship)

Preferred - not required:

  • Subject matter expert in the areas of training material development and implementation of training options such as instructor-led, hands-on, and web-based training
  • Experience and familiarity with DEAMS, and AF Education and Training standards
  • Experience in designing, developing, and delivering classroom instruction - to include analyzing student needs, developing appropriate training aids, and working as part of an instructor team in the classroom setting
  • Experience utilizing automated training software to translate written documentation to computer based training (CBT) scripts/courses for use as long distance sustainment training
  • Experience developing, reviewing, updating, and maintaining documents for system deployment and sustainment training using specified software according to current requirement
  • Familiarity with some of the following systems and terminology preferred: Automated Business Service System (ABSS); Commander's Resource Integration System (CRIS); Defense Travel System (DTS); Reserve Travel System (RTS); Intra-governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC); Defense Transaction Interface Module (DTIM); General Accounting and Finance System-Rehost (GAFS-R); Query (BQ) General Accounting Finance System-Base Level (GAFS-BL); Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS); Central Disbursing System (CDS); Defense Cash Management System (DCMS); Defense Cash Accountability System (DCAS)
