Position:  Accounting Manager/Controller for Senior Housing Property


Location: Green Valley, AZ


Compensation:  Up to 40 hours per week, salary commensurate with experience


Required Experience:  Four year degree with a concentration in accounting.  At least 10+ years of experience in preparing the monthly and annual financial reporting for real estate properties (senior housing and HUD reporting experience desired). Familiarity with one or more of the following software packages is a plus - Point Click Care (used for AR), Great Plains (used for GL, AP, and Management Reporting) and Yardi (property management software – not currently being used at the property, but under consideration). 


Job Description and Responsibilities:



  • Report directly to the Portfolio Manager who oversees this property.
  • Prepare the monthly and annual financial reports for 2 senior housing properties.
  • Generate rent rolls for independent living, assisted living and memory care units.
  • Accounts receivable/payable.
  • Oversee human resource areas including: payroll, insurance, and benefits.
  • Coordinate the annual HUD audit of the properties.
  • Oversee the activities of a bookkeeper who is responsible for the data entry for the property.
  • Be part of the management team that optimizes the performance of the property.
