POSITION PURPOSE:

Assists manager in supervising and coordinating activities of the Ali'i Luau Hale Aloha. Responsible for the efficiency, sanitation, service, food quality, guest satisfaction, safety and profitability of this operation by maintaining the physical property according to the code. Assists in managing the restaurant's operations in compliance with established policies and procedures. Helps management in developing, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures for performing required functions. Ensures proper training of staff, prepares related reports, and audits current procedures for improved efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists manager in supervising and coordinating activities of assigned restaurant personnel to ensure guest comfort and service standards.
  • Maintain and supervise the safety of guests and employees.
  • Provides guidance in the resolution of routine situations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledgeable of OSHA rules and regulations governing food services operations.
  • Able to speak, read and write fluent English.
  • High school graduate or the equivalent.
  • One year of restaurant work experience at a supervisory level.
  • In good health and a full range of physical mobility to fulfill the physical demands of this position.
  • Basic computer skills and familiar with software programs used at the Polynesian Cultural Center.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluency in a foreign language.

WORK SCHEDULE:

3:00PM - 8:00PM (19 hours per week)
