Operations Manager

Family-owned and operated winery dedicated to excellence in winemaking using all estate-grown grapes is looking for a Production Facility Manager.  

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

  • Understands, communicates, and shares Company vision
  • Communicates and works closely with Ownership, Administration, and Head Winemaker to orchestrate and complete daily tasks within the production facility to include macro and micro cellars, barrel room, lab, bottling line, warehouse, and maintenance.
  • Drives Company focus, manages culture, encourages strong work ethic, provides leadership, coaches and develops employees, leads by example.
  • Trains employees to do their job; sets standards for work performance, monitors performance and provides feedback through formal written and informal verbal reviews.
  • Develops staffing needs, review and hire employees, makes recommendations in job evaluation and compensation, and recommends termination actions.
  • Manages employee attendance to ensure compliance with Company policy; Manages and oversees scheduling, monitors and justifies overtime.
  • Conducts team meetings with department employees; includes monthly safety topic, maintenance schedules, bottling schedules, company policy reviews, and other topics as needed.
  • Continually assesses efficiency of production equipment, and the layout of the physical plant. Make recommendations for infrastructure improvements. 
  • Oversees and manages all facility equipment to assure it is in good working order. Evaluates, recommends, and executes course of action for all equipment breakdowns with maintenance staff.   
  • Maintains facility appearance, cleanliness, and organization to retain the reputation of a world class winery.
  • Provides employees with a safe, comfortable, and rewarding work environment.


  • Operations background combined with minimum of five years of experience in a wine, beverage, or food service manufacturing environment.
  • Wine production work experience, including crush pad, cellar, barrel room, and bottling line experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or equivalent experience desired
