This role is responsible for managing a team of Controller Technicians over two shifts. The Controllers team is responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of Altanium Controllers and to ensure 100% quality and on-time delivery is met with each shipment. In this role, you will oversee daily production of Controllers including stock room (Controller only), assembly, and testing of Altanium Controllers.   Additional responsibilities and projects will be added based business need.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and daily direction to the Controllers team and drive execution of production requirements.
  • Lead and own capacity, flex capacity, and manage them appropriately based on work load.
  • Ensure the team is adhering to Husky specifications as determined by drawings, schematics, etc.
  • Assess the capabilities and training needs of the Controllers Team and drive development of team members to support this.
  • Responsible for manufacturing expenditures and budgeting
  • Work collaboratively with Controller peers globally
  • Lead and project manage product upgrades, SR implementations, Software and Hardware releases
  • Provide constant employee feedback, and conduct periodic performance reviews and employee coaching
  • Other special projects as assigned
  • Minimum travel required

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing direct reports strongly preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, delegate, follow up, and prioritize
  • Demonstrated decision maker
  • Understand or have the ability to learn and effectively navigate our ERP production software
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Solid understanding of the basic principles of electricity
  • Project management skills preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including frequent presentations to the team and Management Team
  • Basic understanding of supply chain, inventory control, and stockroom activities
  • Experience in process improvement and lean manufacturing concepts and implementations
  • Flexible and willing to take on any and all task regardless of area of responsibility, a team player
