The Federal Network Project - Project Management position is a challenging opportunity that encompasses dimensions of Project Management and leadership with knowledge of Systems Engineering and Network design.  The successful candidate will work directly with the Federal Network Projects team in the application of our network management products to solving customer problems in the management of satellite ground systems.



  • Lead highly technical engineering teams on challenging projects and manage project technical baselines.

  • Manage the technical, schedule, quality, and cost objectives for customer programs in our federal network projects business area.

  • Provide technical expertise in advising customers on architectures and potential solutions.

  • Manage the capture of new business for existing and new customer accounts – including generating quotes and leading proposal efforts.

  • Pursue business development opportunities that employ products and/or broader end-to-end solutions.

  • Interface directly with customers to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Direct project personnel resources to accomplish milestones.

  • Manage sub-contractors and vendors.

  • Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level.

  • Reporting on project financial performance and schedule performance to senior management on a monthly basis.

  • Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings.



Experience and Skills:
  • Candidate will have Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical discipline and 10 or more years practical experience in technology or engineering applications.

  • Prior experience in Project Management or Technical Leadership roles.

  • Working knowledge of element management, network management, and service management.

  • Direct experience managing within different FFP and T&M contract vehicles.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.


U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.
