ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Financial Reporting
    1. Assists by ensuring financial statements and reports required for company management are provided to management and controlling with appropriate information for business decision-making as well as operational and strategic management of the business segments (pumps, service) and the overall company.
    2. Assist with preparation of monthly reports on a timely and accurate basis to evaluate the performance of the company, and assist management with making decisions affecting the company.
    3. Responsible for ensuring that guidelines from corporate for financial accounting (IFRS) are being carried out, as well as, being in line with local rules (GAAP).

  • Budget / Forecast
    1. Ensures the budgeting process is carried out in accordance to the corporate mandates for the budgeting year, relatiung to the income statement and balance sheet.
    2. The employee performs the necessary tasks ensuring that a complete and accurate forecast/budget is prepared for the time period. The employee manages the process ensuring that the data/information presented flows from the income statement to the balance sheet. 
    3. Directs preparation of financial budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Internal Controls/Policies
    1. Evaluate corporate guidelines and offer suggestions to prevent inaccuracies in the financial position of the organization.
    2. Maintain, control and communicate financial policies throughout the company.
    3. Enforce internal controls and policies, in a manner, that is consistent and fair, as they are applied situations in the organization.

  • System responsibility
    1. Ensures the business and functional management of the SAP modules FI (Finance) and BI (Business Intelligence for GIW.
  • Audits
    1. The employee is responsible for assisting the Controller in the preparation and execution of the year-end audit, as well as, any other audit that arises in the course of business. This would include the planning, organization, and control of audit requests from the parties conducting the audit.
  • Review of Financial Data
    1. In charge for the company (GIW), gathering and reporting risk management in the required form and system by the KSB group.
    2. Interfaces with and provides financial advice to departments throughout the company.
    3. Provides management with timely reviews of organization's operational status and progress in its various programs and activities.
  • Analysis Reporting
  1. Analyze monthly order (KTP) results, and develop new reports(s) to bridge the gap between finance, sales, and operations. Utilizing data warehouse to extract information not found in the orders (KTP).
  2. Evaluate operational output and prepare reports/charts reflecting operational efficiency by collecting information and summarizing results into new reports/charts.
  3. Compare operational output to sales input to bridge gap between what is being manufactured to what is being ordered.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • College degree in accounting/finance required (Bachelor of Science) MBA, CMA, and CPA credentials prefered or having at least a similar knowledge/experience.
  • At least 5 -10 years experience in financial accounting required.
  • Must have strong IT skills especially with Microsoft Office products and the ERP System SAP.   
  • Experience in dealing with auditors (internal/external)
  • In-depth knowledge of the SAP R3 modules FI and BI
  • Networking knowledge in all other SAP modules
  • Well-founded knowledge of trade and tax regulations
  • Relevant knowledge of international accounting (IFRS)
