Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-functional business units to provide program management of client-specific programs and projects
  • Manage programs and projects to deliver the appropriate project scope on schedule, within budget, and with acceptable quality
  • Evaluate risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize or address those risks
  • Perform resource forecasting, planning, and management
  • Facilitate communication across multiple internal functions and departments to ensure priorities are aligned
  • Coordinate, manage and deliver executive report-outs
  • Obtain alignment and buy-in from all relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in quality clinics and defect reporting
  • Assist in and facilitate process improvement workshops such as Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping events
  • Proactively promote continuous improvement to improve product quality
  • Comply with the Client's Code of Ethics, EHS policies, and acceptable regulatory and company rules and requirements

Your Skills & Abilities

  • This position is subject to ITAR requirements per the DoD which requires US Person status. ITAR defines US Person as a U.S. Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. Employment sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study or equivalent work experience related to project and/or program management
  • Six or more years of experience in project management within the Aerospace & Defense industry, HVAC, or Fire Protection Systems (FPS)
  • Certification for Project/Program Management is strongly preferred: PMI, PMP, etc
  • Experience with Product and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Experience with R&D Engineering processes: Design, Process, FMEA, etc
  • Experience with Quality Management Tools: Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects involving manufacturing of technical projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software - emphasis on Microsoft Project
  • Proficient with project management tools: reporting, templates, KPIs, etc
  • Proficient with data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Proficient with the identification of needs and negotiation of proposals and project plans
  • Ability to work independently with limited/no direct supervision
  • Ability to lead others and provide direction and guidance to implement change
  • Ability to develop a realistic project plan and timeline and ensure that project deliverables are met
  • Strong presentation and training skills to develop diverse, cross-functional teams of varying size, technical skills, and levels of business responsibilities
  • Strong risk management knowledge and ability to identify and escalate key issues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with high levels of attention to detail
  • Must be able to regularly travel within and outside the US, including travel to client suppliers in China
