Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Job Summary: Perform Preventative Maintenance on Machine Tool and Facility Equipment. Diagnoses of Electrical or Mechanical, Malfunction or Failure of Operational Equipment and Determines root cause and Corrective Measures to make needed repairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform associated Preventative Maintenance on Facility Equipment Air Handlers, Makeup Air Handlers, Furnaces, Exhaust Fans, Intake Fans, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Mist Collectors and Other types of Safety & Mechanical Equipment.
Teardown, repair, rebuild, replace and install a variety of Electrical / Mechanical Components (Motors, Pumps, Limit Switches, Conveyors, Variable Speed Drives, Pneumatic Systems, Mist collectors and other associated Machine Tool and Facility Equipment.
Identify and Repair Electrical and Mechanical malfunction or failures to the component level (Low DC Control Voltage to 480 Volt 3PH) for machining centers.
Perform or assist the Mechanic in Leveling and Aligning Machining Centers for Precision Machining using Sprit Levels, Precision Squares, Indicators or the use of Electronic Levels.
Use Multi Meters / Oscilloscope to Check, Troubleshoot and or setup Variable Speed Drives, Power Supplies and other Electrical Components.
Interpret Technical Manuals to Troubleshoot Electrical, Control and Mechanical failures to make repairs.
Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties, including facility maintenance program, and recording of electrical and instrumentation testing.
Help enforce all site related electrical safety and facility safety policies, complete a pre-task planning guide before each task and attend a weekly site safety meeting.
Is able to communicate effectively through the use of verbal, written and electronically skills with coworkers and clients.
2 Year Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, or Successfully Completed Apprenticeship Program
2 to 5 years in Industrial Experience Preferred
Manufactures Certification in Maintaining & Troubleshooting Programmable Controllers, Manufacturers Certification in AC Drive Application Preferred
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to question from coworkers, managers, clients and customers.
Strong Understanding of PLC's, Computer and Numerical Controls.
